Awjila Text V

This enjoyable story is one of the two stories in the Aujila language where Juha plays a trickster role in the story.

Žḥá yətəmə́nna s-ġar ṛə́bbi a-yəfk-ís əlf zní u yəqqím iṭə́lləb u itənn-ís: ya ṛə́bbī əndú yənqíṣa iwínan a-uġáx-tənət-ká.
‘Juha wished from god to give him 1.000 Libyan Pounds and he started requesting and saying: O god! If one (pound) is missing, I will not take them!’
